Call for Evidence

Published: December 7th, 2009

Update 1 March 2009: Submissions to the first call for evidence are now available to view

Lord Brown meets student representativesI am very pleased today to be launching the Review’s first call for evidence. This morning I am meeting with student representatives to discuss some of the issues that we will be asking for evidence on over the next couple of months. I will also be meeting with the Review’s Advisory Forum next week to hear opinions from a wide range of those with an interest in our higher education system.

This is the first of two calls for evidence, and looks at the current system of higher education funding. We are particularly interested in the impact of the introduction of variable tuition fees in 2006 and the accompanying student finance changes. We are also keen to understand the key trends in higher education that you think we should have in mind when thinking about future policy. This call for evidence will close on the 31st January. Responses submitted to the Review will be available to view on our website.

The second call for evidence will be issued in early 2010 and focus on recommendations for the future.

Submit your evidence online.
